Legends & Lattes

This is another book I’ve had on the TBR for what feels like forever as I got it at the height of its hype and then promptly went on a reading dip.

Viv has a dream, and it’s not the one slashing through foes with Blackblood or creeping through dungeons for the treasure. This is one where she goes to Thune and sets up a coffee shop (like tea but not).

This was such a gentle book I got through it in no time at all feeling a nice warmth all the way through, I loved the gradual build up of found family at the right stages, loved the growing relationship and that it actually happened with no great tension or hurt and it all felt so natural in the growth of both parts of the story.

Of course the tale wouldn’t be a tale without some setbacks and adversaries. I loved The Madrigal and the solution to this protection racket part of the story.

and Fennus was a nice little distraction that proved the found family rather than tore it all apart.

This was a great read, looking forward to reading the others in the series, eventually 😂

Also any story with a big fluffy purry cat in it is fine by me…
