Sam Bartlett, Beth Davies, Destiny Howell, Christina Hassan. Roll & Play Press, (200p) ISBN: 9781838218355. Gaming, read 20/11/25, Hardback ★★★★☆
A fun collection of over 100 ideas for your adventuring, lovely hardback with nice little brass(ish) corners on the book.
Set out in easy to understand sections with a good introduction and template of how the short one-shot adventures work at the front, these are lightly aimed at 5th Ed DND but can easily be adapted for any other system you would like to use them in.
Each section is themed, such as “Out in the Cold”, “Up in the Hills”, “Around Town” and has a dozen or so little adventures in this for parties of four from low level to adventures for level 8-9 and has a good progression within each section.
Then the very last section shows how you can bring this all together to build a multi-level campaign, weaving the adventures together into a cohesive whole with hints and tops of how to do this and a world to do this in.
Thinking these will be great as a little fillers for adventures if a DM hasn’t had a break all week, also good for when the group of players just goes completely left-field you can throw in one of these to gap fill until you can adapt the campaign to the new direction, and these can even be the seed for longer campaigns if you wish.
A great tool for DM’s both new and experienced as everyone can get something from this, well laid out and beautifully presented. I know I’ll be dipping into it now and again for inspiration.
