V. Press
Shortlisted in the Michael Marks Publishers’ Award 2017, V. Press is an independent publisher of poetry and flash fiction. Originally established with a ‘one-off’ collaborative anthology launch at Ledbury Poetry Festival 2013, the press published its first solo-poet pamphlets in 2015, then expanded to also include full poetry collections and flash/short fiction titles.
V. Press titles include Romalyn Ante’s Rice and Rain, winner of the Saboteur Awards 2018 Best Poetry Pamphlet, Claire Walker’s Somewhere Between Rose and Black, shortlisted for Saboteur Awards 2018 Best Poetry Pamphlet, and Antony Owen’s The Nagasaki Elder, shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry 2017.
V. Press titles have been featured by the TLS and Vogue, as well as in Poetry Book Society, The Poetry School and Oxford Brookes’ Poetry Centre weekly poem selections. V. Press is open to unsolicited manuscripts through its submissions window system.
