Robots Stole My Mum!

Robots Stole My Mum!

This came to work as book post and I’ve just got round to reading this and it has helped with my reading block!

Sandy has a sneaking suspicion that something not right is going on when Mr Norman’s, the shop keeper, head explodes and shoots to the sky. This is solidified when Mr Norman shoots laser beams from his eyes and fries one of the garden gnomes.

Determined to get to the bottom of this he enlists his best friend Arjan to find out what is going on, and who else in the town has been replaced by a robot, and he has developed a fool-proof way of finding out who is or isn’t a robot.

We see Sandy and Arjan bouncing around the town discovering more and more information of what is going on and eventually having to rescue Sandy’s Mum and save the town, and they get most of this done despite Sandy’s ingenious ‘plans’.

In this they are helped by Colin, just wait, it’s worth it.

Fast-paced, full of humour and puffin poo, a fanatical villain who wants robots everywhere, exploding heads, laser eyes, and useless plans.

Really enjoyed this as a quick read that’s helped me start reading again after a big lull.
