Not Waving but Drowning
This is part of an ongoing small project of photographing gloves that are floating about in harbours, this was the first one and it really struck me.

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking
And now he’s dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

Six of Swords

Six of Swords

Today’s draw from the Sacred Rose Tarot deck is the Six of Swords.

transition, change, rite of passage, releasing baggage

It’s time to move on and release any emotional baggage from the past, make decisions and actions that can move forward without carrying burdens that can hold back.

Not to ignore or bury the past but to acknowledge and remove the burdens that are holding you in the past in a negative way.

Changing core beliefs and letting go of restricting behaviours and memories can be painful but it is the only way forward at this point.
