13th February 2026

currently reading Saints by Amy Jeffs

Also reading The Executioners Three from Susan Dennard, loved her Luminaries trilogy and would always recommend it if you’ve not read it already.

Back to work today so that’s my commute read sorted as well as my house read.

Binged a lot of Sakamoto Days last night, fun anime.

Borosaurus
Taken on one of my first wanders around Middlesbrough years ago, just looking for things to photography I came across this little park of steel dinosaur sculptures.

This is available to buy on my Redbubble account

Shoulda, woulda, coulda
Tell us about something you know you should do … but don’t.

Eat healthily and exercise, quite simple. I need to lose quite a bit of weight and I know how to do it but can I be arsed right now? Nope, but things can’t keep getting dark forever so there should be a turnaround at some point.

Been feeling pretty ambivalent about social media for a few months now, finding it harder and harder to motivate myself to take part in it.

I’ve stripped  my internet presence right down to this blog, some micro-blogging on Ko-Fi and Substack, and socialising on Bluesky. Gave up Twitter and Facebook over a year and a half ago now, still got a little thing on Insta but I’m going to delete those tonight (done).

I used to really enjoy interacting on social media but if feels a bit of a chore right now, I’m thinking of taking a break from being on social media actively, but just letting my posts from here keep the account alive until I decide what I’m doing and whether or not I want to keep on social media.

It would definitely give me more time to do other more constructive activities.

So what will probably happen is all that random rambling I do on social media will be added to these daily posts.
