Alien vs. Predator
This franchise entry always seems to get more stick than I feel it deserves.
It’s not high cinema of course but neither are any of the others no matter what Prometheus wants to be.
This is a solid action film that is slightly slowed down by it’s first part where it sets up the action, too many humans in it… 😉
Gestation period seems to have sped up as well, but hey ho it’s all good fun and the ever moving maze/training ground was entertaining.
I never noticed the nod to the raptors in Jurassic Park previously.
Then there weren’t 👽 and from there it got more interesting as you were invested in the survival of the last few humans.
Loved that there are a lot of well known actors in this again as they really thought that this could kick off the series again.
It feels that this is the film that starts complicating the Human, Predator and Alien universes, though what a fun muddle it became.
The timeline just gets very weird from here on out, the prehistoric civilisation, the use of Earth as a hunting ground, got to say I was glad that Prey came along and sorted a few things out.
Overall a fun watch though.
